«Le Lien Multimedia talks about Tink's presence in Vietnam.»

December 21, 2009

Following the last article in the Lien MULTIMEDIA, the journalist Charles Prémont now discusses Tink’s presence…in Vietnam. An article which highlights the strengths of such a partnership. Here is its transcription.

Tink increases its strength thanks to an office in Vietnam.

Tink is comprised of 125 “tinkers” in Montreal, Quebec and…Vietnam. This venture was born as a result of a business opportunity offered by a corporate partner.

“It allows us to hold an advantageous position in regards to strategic plan, explains Michel Couture, Tink’s vice-president of strategy and planning. We have around 25 individuals located in Vietnam. This gives us the opportunity of using this resource pool and gives us an advantage in terms of production capacity when we must deliver projects of great scope. Le Lien Multimédia met with Michel Couture at the Tink offices in Montreal.

For four years, Tink has counted on its Vietnamese offices to come to its Canadian divisions’ aid. “In Vietnam resides solely a production center, explains Michel Couture. All strategic plans and client contacts are done here. When larger projects come into play, evidently, these offices give us a large competitive advantage and allow us to accelerate production since we can now work on a project 24 hours a day”. For the moment, the development of an Asian clientele will not be profitable or necessary for our organization. According to Michel Couture, Vietnam offers an excellent source of people perfect for an enterprise like Tink.

“It’s a country that has relied heavily on education after the war, Couture explains. It’s a country where the average age is very low and where a large number of university graduates can be found. Technologically speaking, they are often quite ahead of us and prove to have very good knowledge of the west. Since our partner over there is of Vietnamese origin, this greatly facilitates coordination efforts between our offices.
