«S2i Web and Élection Montréal deploy the new 1rst of November, 2009 election website online »
Montreal, August 17, 2009 – S2i web and the Bureau des élections de Montréal broke through today with the release of the all new 1st of November municipal elections website: www.ville.montreal.qc.ca/election. In merely a few clicks, voters will be able to find all information relative to the electoral process and the 2009 election’s results: registered candidates, voting locations, electoral calendars, procedures for voters with limited mobility, etc. Continually updated until the 1st of November, this site will also act as an electoral central where the evolution of the voting results can be monitored all throughout the evening of November 1st. “The experts at S2i Web have a very clear vision of the web and a very complete service offering. They were able to help us throughout each of the steps of the creation of this site and the conception of web analytics by passing through social media development and strategy” explained, Emmanuel Tani-Moore, head deputy, elections office.
In order to stimulate the web and political savvy youth to vote, Élection Montréal will possess its very own Twitter account (election_MTL)and will use it to share information with web users to offer transparent and direct informational services to voters.
A Second mandate
As well as having created the site in its entirety, S2i Web also undertook the creation of the accounting platform as well as the transmission, in real-time, of the results on the evening of the 1st of November. This system will automatically compile all the voting results and transmit them on the elections website as well as rendering them accessible for the media and political parties. Big screens, attached in the Honor Hall at city hall will also display these results.
