AI Strategy Lead & Head of AI Practice

What we're looking for
The AI Strategy Lead & Head of AI Practice plays a central role in identifying, designing, and structuring AI-powered solutions for Tink's clients and internal teams.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, product, user experience, and AI technologies. The goal is to turn real-world challenges into intelligent platforms, workflows, and tools that create meaningful value for users and organizations.
The AI Strategist contributes both to strategic thinking and to the rapid materialization of concepts. They must be able to understand client needs, assess the feasibility of AI opportunities, design realistic product visions, and collaborate closely with AI-native developers, AI Engineers, and other specialists involved in delivering solutions.
We're looking for someone who can navigate ambiguity, structure ideas quickly, and demonstrate excellent judgment regarding AI's limits, risks, and opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify the best AI opportunities for our clients and internal teams;
- Understand business needs, workflows, operational pain points, and user behaviors in order to prioritize the highest-potential use cases;
- Assess feasibility, dependencies, constraints, and likelihood of success for AI initiatives;
- Evaluate clients' data maturity and determine whether the necessary foundations are in place to support an AI solution;
- Translate business needs into product visions, intelligent workflows, and platform concepts;
- Design user journeys and experiences that integrate AI in a coherent, useful, and realistic way;
- Collaborate with UX/UI, development, data, and strategy teams to align solutions with business goals and user needs;
- Produce prototypes, demos, or semi-functional concepts to accelerate alignment, decision-making, and product vision;
- Structure MVPs, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations for AI initiatives;
- Contribute to the design of AI assistants, agentic workflows, automation tools, and intelligent platforms;
- Anticipate AI system risks: hallucinations, bias, governance, security, privacy, inference costs, adoption, and technical debt;
- Define evaluation frameworks to measure performance, quality, and robustness of AI solutions;
- Design test suites, evaluation scenarios, and relevant metrics to assess quality, accuracy, relevance, and stability;
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure rigorous evaluation approaches before production launch;

- Maintain ongoing market and technology watch on generative AI, AI agents, product design, and intelligent platforms.
Required qualifications and traits
- Team players focused on collaboration and tangible outcomes;
- Experience in applied data science in digital contexts, web development, digital strategy, digital product, or a similar role;
- Strong interest in generative AI, intelligent workflows, and AI platforms;
- Solid understanding of core concepts and patterns in modern AI systems, including: LLMs, RAG, prompting, AI agents, MCP, CLI, automation, and workflow orchestration;
- Ability to determine which architectural approaches and patterns to use depending on context and the problem to solve;
- Ability to identify business opportunities and quickly translate them into realistic product concepts;
- Strong strategic thinking and excellent structuring skills;
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles, experience design, and product thinking;
- Ability to think through both user needs and operational/organizational constraints;
- General understanding of technical concepts related to APIs, data, digital architectures, and AI models;
- Ability to work closely with developers and technical profiles;
- Experience with, or strong interest in rapid prototyping and concept materialization;
- Excellent communication and ability to explain complex topics clearly;
- Familiarity with development environments and version control tools such as VS Code, Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket;
- Strong autonomy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly;
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, experimental environments;
- Excellent professional judgment and critical thinking;
- English required, as the role will work with part of our client base located in Ontario.
Strong assets
- General knowledge of major AI solutions available on the market for different needs (voice, video, content generation, agents, automation, etc.);
- Familiarity with platforms and tools such as ElevenLabs, Higgsfield, Stitch, or other emerging solutions;
- Expertise with agentic programming tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex;
- Experience with tools such as Claude Design, Figma, Cursor, Replit, V0, or other rapid prototyping tools;
- Knowledge of AI governance and ethics considerations;
- Experience in an agency, consulting, or multidisciplinary environment;
- Interest in digital marketing, data, and intelligent customer experiences.
