Our analytics guild is seeking a Product Owner who can read the minds of clients to predict their needs and express them simply to a team with diverse specialties.
As a Product Owner, you will act as a cornerstone on various projects you engage in. You will work closely with project managers in synergy to successfully deliver projects. Your primary role will be to ally and support design (UX, UI) and implementation teams (development, QA), as well as to draft specifications.
You will be responsible for defining the scope and requirements of the project. You must be comfortable facing clients and capable of guiding them in their choices. If you enjoy challenges, excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously, are motivated by team coordination, and communicate fluently in both French and English, this position is perfect for you.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to:
- Represent client interests to internal design and implementation teams.
- Gather functional and application requirements from clients.
- Draft functional specifications (primarily in Confluence and JIRA platforms).
- Develop and diagram functional flows.
- Serve as the project scope point of contact during implementation.
- Manage product backlogs and document user stories according to Scrum/Agile project philosophy, particularly in JIRA.
- Ensure that client-expressed functional requirements align with those documented in the requirements specification and/or service offer.
- Maintain understanding of requirements among UX, UI, developers, and quality assurance specialists.
- Actively participate in various Scrum/Agile ceremonies.
- Negotiate changes to requirements and project scope with clients and internal project team.
- Present / facilitate working sessions with clients (analysis presentations, training, demos, etc.).
Required Qualifications and Characteristics
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of the development cycle, technical challenges, and complexities associated with web development.
- Strong writing abilities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite software (especially Jira and Confluence) is a significant asset.
- Excellent proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is required for this position.
- Knowledge of Shopify would be a great asset
- University degree in information technology or equivalent relevant experience.
