Vice President, Finance and Administration

What we're looking for
We are looking for a Vice President, Finance and Administration a strategic and detail-oriented senior leader who will ensure Tink's financial health while overseeing the administrative and people functions that support the agency's overall success.
In this cross-functional leadership role, you will oversee two key areas:
Finance and Accounting, financial management, budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and oversight of accounting operations.
Administration, strategic oversight of the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition departments.
As a member of Tink's Executive Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions, ensuring sound business management, and fostering a workplace where people thrive and perform at their best.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial and accounting operations of the agency, including client billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, tax filings, and month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to leadership and relevant stakeholders;
- Lead the annual budgeting process and closely monitor departmental and project budgets;
- Analyze the agency's financial performance, identify trends, variances, and risks, and provide recommendations to leadership;
- Ensure Tink's compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements (GST/QST, payroll deductions, pay equity, etc.);
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, insurance providers, and legal or tax advisors;
- Oversee accounting systems (Dynacom, EmployeurD, or equivalent) and lead their continuous improvement to support the agency's needs;
- Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and support investment and financing decisions;
- Develop and maintain Tink's financial policies, procedures, and internal controls;
- Provide strategic oversight of the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition departments, including employee experience, recruitment, HR policies, employee relations, performance management, benefits, recognition programs, and organizational culture;
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership on organizational matters such as restructuring, succession planning, total rewards, and change management;
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and actively contribute to strategic and operational decisions;
- Bring financial insight to business discussions, including project profitability, investment decisions, and financial risk management;
- Contribute to the development and execution of Tink's business plan in collaboration with the CEO and the other Vice Presidents;
- Represent Tink with financial partners, institutions, and government organizations, when required;
- Lead, inspire, and develop team members by providing strong leadership, regular feedback, and strategic coaching;
- Foster and maintain a divisional culture built on rigor, trust, confidentiality, and continuous improvement;
- Oversee performance review cycles across the division and support directors in developing their teams;
- Partner with HR leadership to promote organizational health and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Tink's culture.
Required Qualifications and Characteristics
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or administration, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple functions;
- Strong expertise in financial management, accounting within an agency or professional services environment, and financial reporting;
- Proven experience overseeing Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition functions, with a strong understanding of people management practices;
- Good knowledge of Quebec labour legislation and tax regulations;
- Strong leadership skills, a high sense of accountability, and the ability to effectively lead across diverse functions (finance, HR, recruitment);
- Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to leadership and managers;
- Proficiency with accounting and management systems (Dynacom, EmployeurD, or equivalent), reporting tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- CPA designation and/or a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken; a good working knowledge of English is required for this position
