Abdel Ali Djeral Shares His Internship at Tink: A Great Way to Grow in a Team

The last few months of my Multimedia Integration program at Collège Montmorency made me want to put my skills in web development, interactivity, and UX/UI design to good use, all while continuing to learn alongside industry experts. That’s what naturally led me to the digital production team at Tink, where I had the chance to enjoy a truly enriching internship experience.
So without further ado, here’s a look at what I learned and accomplished during this exciting journey!
Why choose an internship at Tink?
What first drew me in was the wide variety of projects Tink works on, along with its tendency to embrace innovative digital solutions. I also wanted to grow in an environment where collaboration and human connection take center stage. From my very first conversations with the team, I could tell that values like mutual support, creativity, and personal growth really mattered here (and I was absolutely right!).
I also got to enjoy a flexible work setup, with the option to alternate between working from home and being at the office. That kind of schedule flexibility really made a difference. It helped me manage my time more effectively and contributed to both my balance and productivity.
In short, being part of Tink gave me the chance to actively contribute to real, hands-on projects in a stimulating environment where I could apply what I already knew and keep learning every day.
What were my main takeaways from this internship?
One of the biggest things I improved was my time management. I learned how to adapt quickly to unexpected changes while still meeting deadlines. Being immersed in a professional environment also gave my creativity a real boost and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone by suggesting new visual, graphic, and interactive ideas.
On the technical side, I focused on making my workflow more efficient by using AI tools to speed up certain steps, clean up or optimize my code, and automate repetitive tasks. This approach helped me deliver faster, more efficient, and longer-lasting solutions, all while deepening my understanding of web development best practices.
What was the vibe like on the digital production team?
Right from my first days at Tink, I could tell there was a strong culture of collaboration and kindness, with a real focus on the human side of things. I never felt out of place or had trouble connecting with my colleagues. The atmosphere was friendly, open, and inclusive, and there were plenty of regular social activities that helped build a strong sense of team spirit.
How did I grow during this internship?
This internship helped me grow both personally and professionally. It boosted my confidence, taught me how to manage my priorities more effectively, stand up for my ideas, and adapt quickly to different situations.
From a professional point of view, I became more organized, independent, and focused on finding practical, efficient solutions. Using AI tools also taught me how to streamline my workflow, which completely changed the way I approach projects.
Working in such a collaborative environment helped me become a better communicator, ask the right questions, and really make the most of teamwork to push ideas further.
Finally, what advice would I give to a future intern?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, share your ideas, and step outside your comfort zone. Surround yourself with kind, passionate people who want to see you grow, and make the most of every opportunity to experiment, learn, and get involved. It’s a simple equation—the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it!
And most importantly, have fun. An internship like the one I had at Tink is an amazing opportunity to experience both personal and professional growth. Enjoy the ride!
