April 22, 2025
Linda Legaré

With over thirty years of experience in graphic design, Linda Légaré has also added coordination to her professional toolbox in recent years. And since 2022, the entire Tink family has been benefiting from it! Find out how this caring team player has established herself as a quiet force within our organization.

In a few words, how would you describe your position and daily routine?

I'm essentially the go-to person who bridges the gap between our clients and our integration team. My day-to-day involves responding quickly to questions, listening to our clients' needs, and offering consistent, courteous, respectful and personalized service.

More specifically, I work mostly on recurring accounts, with tasks that come up frequently, such as Metro's updates for its home page, contest pages, corporate site, marketing emails or Moi program site. Of course, other one-off requests can also be added to the mix! My day-to-day role involves fully understanding client needs and carefully analyzing the information provided in order to give my integration colleagues clear and precise instructions. I also ensure that deadlines for each deliverable are met by following up regularly with all stakeholders. When issues arise or more complex requests come in that could affect delivery timelines, I make sure to inform the client and suggest alternative solutions.

Every task related to my role involves building connections with everyone involved in a project, both internally and externally. And that’s just as well, because I love bonding close ties with the people I work with — it’s my way of staying close to others. For instance, I recently found out that a client I was working with lives near me, and we took the opportunity to have dinner together. This type of closeness and human connection makes my work so much simpler, smoother and more enjoyable every day!

What skills and qualities should a person demonstrate to hold a position like yours?

As I just mentioned, one of the keys to my job is knowing how to build caring, human relationships with both clients and colleagues. Digital production is a fast-paced environment that can become stressful, which is why it's so important to ensure effective, consistent, clear, and respectful communication — so that everyone can understand each other and collaborate smoothly. It’s a very human aspect of the job that differs quite a bit from other roles in the digital field.

Strong priority management is also essential in coordination roles, where you often have to juggle multiple projects at once. Being thorough, methodical, and detail-oriented are also crucial for success in this type of position.

What have you learned during your years at Tink?

From the moment I joined Tink, I realized just how quickly everything changes in the digital world. I had to learn to adapt to an environment where everything is constantly evolving — from technologies to workflows, as well as needs and expectations.

What’s more, working alongside people with different backgrounds and areas of expertise within the same company allows me to discover something new every day, even after more than 30 years of professional experience. You always need to stay in a mindset of continuous improvement to keep up!

What do you like about Tink, and what makes you stay?

I feel a great sense of pride and gratitude to be part of an agency founded here, by people from here, for businesses from here. It drives me to want to make a difference every day!

I also really appreciate the flexibility Tink offers when it comes to task and project assignments. The managers are genuinely attentive and give us the freedom to choose whether we want to stay on the same project or try something new. Personally, I enjoy working on recurring projects with the same clients so I can build long-lasting, meaningful relationships. That’s quite the opposite for some of my fellow coordinators, who would be unhappy working on the same things week after week. Either way, there's something for everyone at Tink.

Finally, I have to say I feel very fortunate to work in an environment where the quality of our work is recognized — by both colleagues and managers. Beyond the paycheck, that kind of pat on the back is free, and it can make all the difference!

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

I’ve clearly gained a lot more confidence, skills, and experience in customer service over the years (no surprise, given my role as a coordinator!). I now have a much deeper understanding of the clients I work with on a daily basis, which makes follow-ups much easier and allows for greater agility in task execution.

I’ve also learned to master the technical vocabulary we use on a daily basis — things like UTM, target blank, ALT tags, hub pages, and more.

How would you describe the work atmosphere at Tink?

The four words that immediately come to mind when I think about my day-to-day at Tink are "kindness", "teamwork", "humor", and "harmony".

  • Kindness, because there’s a very human, caring atmosphere — it truly feels like being part of one big family. Our successes are regularly acknowledged, which creates a strong sense of belonging within the organization.
  • Teamwork, for the great team spirit in my department. There’s no internal competition — we’re all here to support one another and move forward together in the same direction.
  • Humor, because we always find a moment to lighten the mood and make work both productive and enjoyable.
  • Harmony, because everyone’s skills are valued. I work alongside people with very different backgrounds, and their skills complement mine perfectly.

For you, working at Tink means having the opportunity to...?

It means having the opportunity to learn every day and grow in a stimulating, ever-evolving environment, alongside passionate, dynamic, and experienced people who are always ready to help. It also means enjoying a flexible schedule and working conditions that support a healthy balance between professional and personal life.

Ultimately, working at Tink means being part of a true team — one where everyone supports one another and where each person’s strengths are put to good use.

What advice would you give to future employees in your field?

Always have the humility to recognize that you don’t know everything — and the openness to keep learning constantly. And learn to cope with pressure, especially at the end of a sprint! You’ll also need to develop strong organizational skills and pay close attention to the needs of both clients and integrators.

Working in coordination also means being committed, flexible, and always ready to adjust to shifting priorities (remember, things move fast in coordination — especially in the digital world!). And since you’ll inevitably be working as part of a team, well-developed social skills will be one of the keys to your success.
