As I approached the third and final year of my Multimedia Integration program at Collège Montmorency, I was looking for an exciting internship experience that would let me put my skills into practice through creative projects. And good news: I quickly found exactly what I was looking for by joining Tink’s digital production team!

Come along as I share the lessons and accomplishments that made this professional adventure so memorable.

Why choose an internship at Tink?

I wanted to gain experience in a work environment where collaboration and people truly matter. While researching opportunities, I was immediately drawn to Tink’s core values. It felt like a place where trust, openness and active listening were part of the culture. Once I arrived, that impression was quickly confirmed. I genuinely felt that my voice mattered, even as "just an intern." I was not only well supported, but also felt involved, heard and free to bring my creativity to life every day.

What were my main takeaways from this internship?

I mainly had the chance to get familiar with the environment and workflow of a web marketing agency. Attending meetings helped me expand my professional vocabulary and learn new terms specific to the digital field. I also discovered the different stages involved in the web design and integration process, as well as how communication flows between internal teams and clients. Finally, I made significant progress in quality assurance and learned to adapt to more complex design systems tailored to each client, all while applying web design best practices.

What challenges did I face during the internship?

The first challenge that comes to mind was when we began migrating creative mockups from Adobe XD to Figma. At first, I had trouble identifying the key steps of the project and wasn’t sure who to turn to in order to properly plan the migration. And yet, the solution was simple—I just needed to raise my hand and ask for help. My internship supervisors quickly pointed me to the right person, which helped me prioritize my tasks and better understand the needs of the digital production team.

The lesson here: never hesitate to ask questions, even the simplest ones. They can truly unlock everything.

What was the vibe like on the digital production team?

There was a strong sense of support and encouragement within the team. Everyone trusted one another, and each person was valued for their skills, without any judgment. It was truly motivating to grow in an environment where asking questions was encouraged and making mistakes was seen as part of the learning process.

What’s the first thing I say when I talk about my experience?

When I talk about my internship with friends and family, I always say how supported I feel and how much I enjoy the tasks I’m given. I’ve always had a strong desire to work in web design, and I feel incredibly lucky to be doing it in such a professional setting.

How did I grow during this internship?

I’d say I learned to trust myself more overall. I feel more comfortable attending meetings, I take more initiative, and I no longer hesitate to ask questions. Recently, I had a meeting with an integrator to discuss the adjustments needed to migrate one of her mockups to Figma. It was the first time I handled that kind of exchange on my own, without any guidance, and I’m really proud of it! It’s something I never would have imagined doing at the beginning of my internship.

Finally, what advice would I give to a future intern?

The same one I gave myself at the start of my internship: you're here to learn, so don’t hesitate to ask questions, even if they feel silly. That’s how you grow and move forward in your field!
