The new website of the Conseil des Métiers d’Art du Québec (CMAQ) is online!

The Conseil des Métiers d’Art du Québec (CMAQ) is an organization founded in 1988 that brings together over 1000 members, skilled artisans in the field of crafts. Its mission? To represent, support, and develop the field of crafts and its professionals across the entire territory of Quebec.

CMAQ has entrusted Tink to assist in creating a new web content platform, matieres.ca, to showcase the numerous initiatives of the organization:

  • The circuits of crafts, allowing the discovery of Quebecois artisans through geolocation or by the material worked, via the Matières hub;
  • CMAQ events, through a calendar giving special attention to Studio MA, a platform for live web broadcasting of events;
  • The directory of artisans, making it easy to identify members, their businesses, and specialties through an individual profile;
  • All content produced by CMAQ: the podcast "Tout un bagage," promotional web series, and the blog "Le cahier," bringing together all articles related to Quebecois know-how.

Due to the large volume of content, the variety of target audiences for this platform, and the multitude of formats employed (texts, videos, interactive maps, event calendars, etc.), the customer experience on this new site must be impeccable. Thanks to the expertise of our professionals and the close collaboration with the CMAQ teams, we have particularly focused on UX/UI to make navigation intuitive, with elements featuring clear design:

« For this redesign, we aimed for a contemporary design focused on the user experience, where artworks and artisans are highlighted, supported by a unique and distinctive image. The Matière hub is an experience of discoverability, including circuits, content distribution, events, collaborations... All of this to create a lively and dynamic platform. »

Diane Gosselin, Artistic Director at Tink.

Tink is an independent 100% Quebecois company, and we are particularly proud to contribute to the promotion of the know-how of our artisans throughout Quebec.
