Context

A leader in industrial and commercial distribution in Quebec and Labrador’s mining and industrial sectors, JRV offers a wide range of products, from traditional tools to handling and maintenance equipment, as well as health and safety supplies. To better reflect its full range of products and brand image, the company wanted to implement an online e-commerce platform that could also serve as a corporate showcase.
 

Involved in every aspect of JRV’s digital strategy, our team was brought in to work on the company’s new e-commerce and corporate website, developed for the Sept-Îles–based business.

Objectives

  • Generate online revenue;

Mandate

As JRV’s official digital partner, we were tasked with overseeing all strategic, functional, and technological aspects of the company’s transactional platform. This was done in collaboration with an external freelance art director, who developed the brand identity and visual mockups for the new website.

Spanning from July 2024 to March 2025, the mandate involved 15 of our digital specialists and brought together several of our areas of expertise:

  • Business strategy and analysis;
  • Solution architecture;
  • Front-end and back-end development;
  • Configuration of advanced B2B features;
  • Project management with a dedicated product owner (PO);
  • Website integration on the Shopify Plus platform;
  • Technology consulting;
  • Quality assurance (QA) analysis.

From the initial planning phase to the final launch, we provided JRV with comprehensive strategic support, drawing on our in-depth knowledge of B2B e-commerce and Shopify Plus functionality.

Thanks to our advanced e-commerce expertise, JRV now benefits from a customized catalog for each client, featuring tens of thousands of products with all relevant conditions and descriptions (product details, pricing, payment and delivery terms). The company also relies on an automated, personalized, and always-accessible online commerce platform built on the robustness and continuous evolution offered by Shopify Plus.

Launched in March 2025, this new transactional site makes JRV’s product catalog easily accessible online while providing a user-friendly and efficient shopping experience for all of its clientele.
