Types of data collected

We collect two types of data when you visit our site:

We may collect personal data when you communicate it directly to Tink, via our website or via social media pages associated with Tink. Some examples of personal data: your last name, first name, email address, phone number, company contact details, and online comments.

This type of information is collected when you complete our contact form or apply for a job. Tink collects data that is intended for its customer relationship management or human resources services and will only be used for this purpose.

We only pass on your personal data to other third parties if we are required to do so by law or at the request of public authorities (e.g., judicial authorities).

We will not pass on any of your data to our partners without your consent.

 

Data collected by third-party tools and use of cookies

We use analytical tools and other third-party technologies (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bing) to automatically collect anonymous usage data that does not identify you personally. This includes the following:

  • The type of browser you use
  • The type of operating system you use
  • The domain name of the website and/or the internet service providers that allow you to access our site

This type of information is collected using web trackers, such as cookies. These are small data files that are downloaded to your computer whenever you visit a website.

Data collected by Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bing is used for ad targeting.

 

Data collected by Google Analytics and Hotjar

To understand how visitors use our website, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies, as well as Hotjar. The Google Analytics cookies generate anonymous information about the use of our website and transmit it to Google.

This information is then used solely to create statistical reports on our website activity. We use these reports to do the following:

  • Determine how we can better meet your needs and interests

Demographic and interest data

We are committed to providing useful content tailored to your needs.

To this end, we use the demographic and interest reporting features of Google Analytics, which give us access to anonymous statistical data about users’ gender, age, and interests.

This data is provided in a format that does not allow us to identify you personally, because the information is collected by means of your Google ad preferences profile.

Why do we collect your data?

Cookies are used for a number of purposes, namely to provide an optimal user experience, to let you navigate efficiently from page to page, and to save your preferences.

Cookies and other trackers are also used to refine the accuracy of our ad targeting on partner sites and to measure ad performance.

Data collected in this way is strictly anonymous and is used only for performance analysis and ad targeting or, in some cases, for testing new features of advertising or marketing technologies. In the latter case, the data is not used for commercial purposes.

Data retention

The lifetime of cookies on our sites is 13 months. After this time, consent will be sought again before a new cookie is placed.

At any time, you can disable cookies on your device by setting your browser to notify you when you receive cookies so you can accept or decline them.

However, certain features of our site may require the use of cookies to function properly.

Sharing your information

We will not disclose, sell, or rent to a third party any personal information that you provide on our site without your permission, except as required by law.

However, the anonymous data collected by Google Analytics, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bing may be shared with other Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bing services and used to customize and contextualize ads from their own ad network.
