The new website of the Conseil des Métiers d'Art du Québec (CMAQ) is online!

Founded in 1988, the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec (CMAQ) is an organization that unites more than 1,000 professional craft artists with proven expertise. Its mission? To champion, develop, and represent craft and craft professionals throughout Quebec.

The CMAQ recently partnered with Tink to create a new digital content hub to showcase the organization’s numerous initiatives:

  • Craft itineraries, which allow you to discover Quebec craft artists by geolocation or medium, via Hub Matière
  • CMAQ events, via an events calendar and Studio MA, an exceptional platform developed to present live webcasts
  • The artist directory, which lets you quickly find CMAQ members, where they work, and their area of expertise
  • All CMAQ-produced content: the "Tout un bagage" podcast, the promotional web series, and the "Le cahier" blog, which includes the organization’s entire collection of articles

Given the sheer volume of content, the platform’s various target audiences, and its wide range of features—text, videos, interactive maps, event calendars, etc.—the user experience had to be flawless.
Thanks to our team’s expertise and close collaboration with the CMAQ, we were able to give particular attention to the UX/UI design. The aim was to create an intuitive user interface with a clean aesthetic:

« For this project, we wanted a contemporary, experience-driven design with a unique and distinctive image that would help to highlight the artists and their work.Hub Matière is all about discoverability. It combines itineraries, content delivery, events, and collaborations—all in an exciting, dynamic platform. »

As an independent, 100 percent Quebec-based company, Tink is especially proud to help promote the work of craft artists throughout our province.
